Fractionated Coconut Oil Cocos nucifera has an indefinite shelf life. Also known as MCT Oil (Medium Chain Triglycerides). The separation process is free of chemical residue. Fractionated coconut oil is an excellent carrier oil, containing a high percentage of completely saturated triglycerides.
While many carrier oils tend to get a rancid scent after a few months, this does not occur with coconut oil when fractioned. Fractionated coconut oil is very stable. It is perfect for diluting essential oils without the need for alcohol.
