Essential Oils for Beard Health
Autumn and winter can be a great time to grow longer facial hair, especially with "No Shave November" allowing growing it for awareness of a good cause. Beard grooming and the products you use are both important to make sure your beard is both great-looking and healthy. This means that time and attention must be given to the hair of your beard as well as the skin underneath.
The hair on your face needs just as much care and grooming as the hair on your head. The right grooming techniques and products can help the hair of your beard stay soft and smooth while stimulating hair growth and repairing damage and split ends. Even if you’ve had a beard for so long that you haven't seen it in years, there is skin hidden under there. Proper skincare can help with the dry itchy skin that can be a common ailment of longer facial hair, especially in colder months. It can also help to combat ingrown hairs, acne, and dandruff in your beard.
Creating your own products to care for your facial allows you to customize the ingredients for your specific needs and preferences. Essential oils have a variety of benefits for overall beard and skin health and make great and helpful additions to your DIY beard care products. They can help cleanse and moisturize the skin, strengthen and repair the hair as well as support new hair growth.
