What is Private Labeling?
Private labeling refers to a product manufactured by one company to be sold under another company’s brand. This is a common practice among many industries. We provide the product at a lower than retail cost to be labeled with your own brand and marketed any way you like.
What is White Labeling?
White Label is a common term used in place of Private Label. Many clients looking for “White Labeling” services are in fact looking for a company that offers Private Labeling services. White Labeling also refers to a product manufactured and sold to multiple resellers.
What is an Essential oil?
Essential oils are naturally occurring oils distilled from plant materials such as leaves, twigs, seeds, flowers, roots and wood. Essential oils can be used for aromatherapy, massage, perfuming, cleaning, candle & soap making and so much more. Offered in 5ml, 10ml and 15ml amber glass bottles with Euro style cap.
What is an Essential Oil Blend?
Blends are a combination of essential oils that are blended together to create a unique aroma, often used to aid in specific needs through aromatherapy. Essential oil blends can be used for aromatherapy, massage, perfuming, cleaning, candle & soap making and so much more. Offered in 5ml, 10ml and 15ml amber glass bottles with Euro style cap.
What is a Fragrance or Perfume Oil?
Fragrance and perfume are two names for synthetic fragrances, manufactured from natural aroma chemicals and synthetic aromatics. Fragrance oils are perfect for soap & candle making or perfumery. They can be worn on the skin when diluted.
What is a Carrier, Base or Vegetable oil?
Carrier, base and vegetable are all names for oil derived from vegetables, seeds and nuts that can be used to dilute and amplify an essential oil. Essential oils are very powerful and can cause irritation if applied directly to the skin, therefor, diluting with a carrier oil is necessary for safe application. Offered in 4oz and 16oz amber glass bottle with poly cone cap.
What is a Roll Ready product?
Our Roll Ready oils have been diluted with MCT/Fractionated Coconut oil for safe application to the skin and are packaged in an 10ml (or 1/3oz) amber glass roll-on bottle.
Why Amber Glass bottles?
Amber glass best protects the essential oils from harmful UV rays. We offer Amber glass bottles with a convenient tamper evident Euro style dropper top in 5ml, 10ml, 15ml and 30ml sizes for private labeling essential oils. For carrier oils we offer 4oz and 16oz amber glass bottles with plain poly cone cap. Our Roll Ready oils are packaged in 10ml (or 1/3oz) amber glass roll-on bottles.
What are Euro Style Dropper Top and Poly Cone caps?
Euro style dropper top caps have a built-in orifice reducer that fits tightly into the bottle and creates the means to dispense oils by the drop and they are tamper evident. Poly cone caps are used with our carrier oils because they seal remarkably well over and over again and offer additional leak protection.
What is a Roll-on bottle?
Our 10ml (or 1/3oz) amber glass roll-on bottles have a plastic roller ball insert in the top of the bottle for easy application of our roll ready products to the skin. It also comes with an elegant black cap.

What We Offer
Do you offer Certified Organic essential oils and how can I private label them?
Yes, we are certified handlers of organic materials by the Oregon Tilth. In order to market and label these oils as organic our clients are required to submit an agreement and provide label proofs for approval. This can be a prolonged process that may need multiple label redesigns. Don’t worry though, we have been offering Certified Organic private labeling for over ten years so we can help you with the process.
*Certified Organic is not just organic! It’s Certified by local (Oregon Tilth) and national governing bodies (USDA)*
What are catalog scents?
We have a distinctive catalog of scents that have been created but are not offered to the public at this time. If you have an idea of a scent and know some of the notes, we can search our catalog and offer suggestions and samples.
Do you offer product development?
Yes, we have over 10 years of experience with private labeling so we can help with questions like “What do I have to put on my label?”.
Do you offer help with formulating?
Yes, we can work with our partner lab to formulate a scent that you know the components of or maybe already have a recipe. There are fees associated with formulating that usually start around $500.00 and can be up to and above $1500.00. Our lab utilizes expert formulators, perfumers and aromatherapists in their practice and provide all testing and regulatory documents.
Do you offer help with reproductions?
Do you have a scent you love and want it reproduced? Send us a sample and our partner lab will test and reproduce if possible. There are fees associated with reproductions usually starting around $500.00 and can be up to and above $1500.00. Our lab utilizes expert formulators, perfumers, and aromatherapists in their practice and provide testing and regulatory documents. Reproductions are laboratory tested to match the scent and application desired to provide the most interchangeable product to the original.
Do you have documented quality control?
One of the delightful things about EOC is that all of our products are tested per batch and are held in optimal conditions. This means that we can provide you with the regulatory documents that back up quality and provide safety information. We are happy to provide Certificates of Analysis (CofA), Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and other documentation upon request.

How does Private Labeling work?
The Essential Oil Company is proud to offer Full Service and DIY Private Labeling services.
- Full Service Private Label
Let us do the work for you! We will pour the oil, cap and apply the label. Your order will then be carefully packed and shipped to any location in the contiguous US (consult your Account Manager for AK and HI orders).
- DIY Private Label
A great way to get started without the additional fees associated with Full Service Private Labeling and you can bottle as few at a time as you would like. We have kits made for our most popular essential oils and can ship the same or next business day, faster than Full Service!
How much does Private Labeling cost?
Both Full Service and DIY Private Labeling have different pricing based on oil type and order size. Contact your Account Manager for a full guide to pricing and product options. Shipping and Handling prices are based on package weights and transit distance and are determined when the order ships.
What is the minimum order for Full Service Private Labeling?
Orders must be a minimum of 50 units per oil type.
What is the minimum order for DIY Private Labeling?
There is no minimum order, our kits start with the capacity to fill 48-50 units (depending on the viscosity of the oil) in the small kit and 240-250 units (depending on the viscosity of the oil) in the large kit.
How long does Full Service Private Labeling take?
Private label orders are typically ready to ship within 2-3 weeks after the order is placed, payed in full, and we receive the labels. Larger orders may experience longer lead times. Please consult with your Account Manager on all lead and shipping times. If you have a hard launch date and need an order rushed there maybe additional “rush” fees.
How long does DIY Private Labeling take?
We can ship DIY Private Label orders the same or next business day. Time in transit will depend on shipping distance and carrier.
What are the Label requirements?
All labels for Full Service Private Labeling must be on rolls due to our production process. See the below table for label size requirements.

What is the payment policy?
Payment will need to be made in full before we can get started on Full Service Private Labeling orders. Special payment arrangements maybe available for orders over $5000.00 made by established clients.
Can I return Private Label products?
Full Service Private Label orders are not returnable or eligible for refund or exchange. Unused DIY kits may be returned within 30 days of purchase if unopened with a 5% restocking fee.
Can I buy essential oil in bulk and bottle myself?
Yes. If bottling and labeling yourself best suits your company, we recommend joining our Wholesale Program. EOC Wholesale Program allows you to to purchase quality essential oil in bulk at a discount. As a preferred wholesale supplier The Essential Oil Company offers wholesale pricing on product 16oz, 5lbs, 25lbs and up.
